Are You in a Healthy Relationship?
It seems like half of the world lacks the understanding of what a healthy relationship really is. I’ve come to realize exactly why people get so lost once in a relationship. The reason being is because many begin to expect their partner to provide for them, what they should be providing for themselves; happiness.
In reality, true happiness comes from within. True happiness comes from the embracing of self, first. As I always tell my peers, we’re only as happy as we want to be. It is important that we keep that in mind as our eagerness of maintaining our self joy will have a major impact in our relationship. See, you only get what you put in.
By consistently seeking true happiness within, you involuntarily contribute to the well-being of the relationship. You supply the relationship with the proper “antibiotics” necessary to keeping it healthy. Rather than destroy, you look to build. We would do well to adopt this “self-absorbed” quality that can in turn, protect us.
This protection will keep you from wondering about the health of your relationship. How, you may ask? Simple. I’ll answer the question with a question, allowing you to provide yourself with this simple answer. If you are doing whatever it takes to bring happiness into your life, what are the odds of you letting someone that is unable to compliment it in? Simple…right?
