There’s so much we can learn from our surroundings. Everything around us speaks to us in some way whether we are listening or not so it’s very important that we stay attentive. There’s a message in every passage and a sign in every intersection. Open your eyes!

My dating advice message is simple, relax and live life. We complicate life too much without even realizing it. If we really took the time to reflect on our dating experiences, we’d realize that things are not as hard as we make it out to be. See, the issue is not always the relationship, but instead, the things surrounding it.

We allow the perception of how things are suppose to be to get in the way or our way of living. Sometimes we get all worked out over things we do not even understand ourselves. Why men are fussy about a woman talking to another man still puzzles me to this day. Live! That’s what I say! From petty arguments to nonsense breakups; I guess our lives aren’t stressful enough.

On our journey to surviving in this world, we forgot to enjoy it. Enjoying a relationship means to cherish every moment that it presents. We should be so busy enjoying it that we have nothing to fight about. If not, then why date? We always tend to think of all the wonderful moments the most, when we are no longer with this person. We find ourselves remembering the things that we miss, the things we never cherished at the time.

Ever looked in a photo album that contained photos are your past relationship and wondered, “How could an album filled with pictures of joy lead us to where we are now, apart?” Why are commitments in relationships always forgotten? Why are the endless smiles that were once promised being taken away? Simple! We continue to forget just how short life is. We forget that any day, can be our last, therefore, we live as immortals.

My advice to you all is that you take the time to value what you have before you. Cherish every smile, cherish every kiss, cherish every touch and cherish every breath we’re able to experience together because that’s what life is all about, living
