New Relationship Advice
Everybody knows that at the beginning of every relationship, things always tend to be “perfect.” Butterflies invade leaving you with nothing but endless smiles and deep thoughts of anticipation. A thorough description of your mate is shared with all your friends and family of what, to you, seems to be the best thing since Christ.
For the next couple of months, sweet text messages float around like birds in the sky and words of poetry are constantly shared as if Shakespeare was living his famous works through you. Everything and anything that goes through your mind seems to be about that special someone. A day wouldn’t be complete without the presence of your “God sent” companion. If this is all true, where do all the arguments and fights come from? How does such a dream suddenly turn into a nightmare?
For all the people that are in new relationships, don’t ever forget the beginning. Never forget the actions that led to a sensational connection between you and the one you love. A race is never won by a runner that slows down their pace, but instead, by the one that pushes to maintain the pace as started. For some reason, once we’ve gained that someone, we tend to feel like our job is done.
In a new relationship, our job is never complete, rather, it is maintained. The way we start is the way we should look to continue without let up. The smile we found in that person is a smile we should look to uphold. Let’s not get so distracted by other things that we forget to enjoy the bond of our relationship, letting the petty arguments get in the way of what appears to be true love.
There’s only one goal that should always be strived to be met and that’s the happiness of our partner. After all, the happiness of the one we love should be our own. Love should be as beautiful as the word itself.
My new relationship advice to you would be to love. Love as if your every breath counted on it. Love as if tomorrow would never be without it. Love unlimitedly and unconditionally “the one” you look to keep. Make the beginning last forever and for every time your eyes connect, hope to fall in love all over again.
